Another Unique Shops Event!

The Unique Shops of Murphysboro continue to deliver great weekend events and family fun! Just in time for Valentine's Day, the shops did their Treats for your Sweets event. Families and friends from all over the local areas came to donate to the food pantry, gather free treats, look at all the shops, and enter tons of drawings!

If you were involved in our cookie walk during Christmas, then you were already a pro when the Sweet Treats Walk came around. The starting point was here, One Hot Cookie, where families would come donate items for the food pantry and receive a box of coupons and a map of all the locations to visit! It made for an exciting day!

Purchase discounts, free treats, and entries to win Valentine's Day dinners were a huge hit. The cold didn't stop these folks from going shop to shop! In fact, there was quite a bit of walking from shop to shop downtown, so to warm up people were hanging out and looking around the shops a little longer! Some of the stores even had hot chocolate and coffee set up and ready to go for everyone! Those that finished their maps got to bring them back to One Hot Cookie to enter to win cookies for a year!

We are happy to announce that the local food pantry received over 200 lbs of food and about $70 in cash donations! They were extremely grateful and it was such an awesome feeling to be able to use this event to benefit local people!

If you missed this event, we're happy to announce another on Saturday, March 24th. Unique Shops will be hosting a Progressive Dinner! Purchase tickets and enjoy appetizers at Hull House, Soup or Salad at Southern Que, Entree at Pat's BBQ, Drinks by Muglee Brew & I Am Java, and a Gourmet Dessert Bar at One Hot Cookie! Three flights will be available, 5 pm, 6 pm, & 7 pm and *tickets will be available between March 1st and the 21st at One Hot Cookie and cost $25. But hurry! There are only 75 tickets available!
