Adventures in our business that opened in 2003, have led us back to our hometown of Murphysboro.  Our owner, Sarah Lavender Brashear, has made it her mission to give others the comfort of food and friendship.  Our initial offerings of cookies, cakes and our exclusive Baptist cookbook recipe peanut rolls, have evolved into a full lunch menu including sandwiches and gourmet salads that is served Monday through Friday.  We also cater events from small casual gatherings to large formal affairs.  We tailor your menu and services to your event, desires and budget.  We are proud to say that we focus on home cooked, grandma’s recipes using local ingredients.  As a company, we work together to create new recipes that mesh with the old ones and to try to appeal to everyone.  Serving our community is high on our list of priorities so we encourage our staff to give back through coaching, participating in community events such as Relay for Life, and donating to local organizations.
